What is Niglip® used for?
Niglip® is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
How Niglip® works?
Niglip® belongs to sulphonylurea class. The primary mechanism of action of Glimepiride is lowering of blood glucose by stimulating the release of insulin from functioning pancreatic beta cells. In addition, expancreatic effects may also play vital role in the activity of Glimepiride.
Common side effects of Niglip®
Hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level), Headache, Nausea, Dizziness.
What if you forget to take Niglip® tablet?
If you miss a dose of Niglip® tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
